What makes video games such an interesting medium is that sometimes you don't play as the typical hero, or heroes. Sometimes, you play as the most unlikely of characters. For example, in Blackguards Deluxe Edition, you play not as a group of royal knights or warriors, but instead, you're a group of misfits and criminals. Not what you expected huh? And yet, these are the ones who will save the world if you lead them in the right way. This deep RPG experience will turn things on its head as you dare to see what this group of characters can do.
And you'll get plenty of chances to see what they do, as there are over 180 battlefields in Blackguards, all done in the classic hex-based style. Plus, you'll learn more about them and their world as you delve into a deep and very mature story. There's a lot going on in here, as you'll find out in the 40+ of gameplay.
You'll lead a team of five, and then go into battle and see if you have what it takes to lead them to victory. There are multiple classes you can pick for battle. Including warriors, mages, hunters, each with their own special weapons and techniques that you can upgrade as you see fit.
Every choice you make with your team as you build will determine how you can handle a battle. Will you go for offense? Defense? Tactics? It's your choice, just remember, your choices can determine how you do.
