Total War: WARHAMMER is a fantasy strategy game of legendary proportions that blends an addicting turn-based campaign of epic empire-building with explosive, enormous, real-time battles. This game is a legend in its own right. Everything takes place in the vibrant and unbelievable universe of Warhammer Fantasy Battles.

Take command of five completely distinct races, including Bretonnia, the Empire, the Dwarves, the Vampire Counts, and the Greenskins, each of which features their own own characters, military formations, and approach to the game.

You can take command of mighty Legendary Lords from the Warhammer Fantasy Battles World and lead your armies into battle while equipping them with legendary weapons, armor, and lethal battle spells that you have earned through completing specific quest chains.

Harness storms of intense magical power to aid you in difficult battles and take to the skies with a variety of flying creatures, ranging from deadly dragons and wyverns to giant griffons. This is the first time these features have been included in a Total War game.

In May of 2016, Total War: WARHAMMER was released to widespread praise following its initial beta testing. Since then, a substantial amount of free content has been added, the most recent of which being the incorporation of Bretonnia as the fifth playable race in the Old World.

In addition to this extra race, the expansive world of Total War: WARHAMMER has been expanded since the game's first release with the addition of four new Legendary Lords, fresh new units, new Lores of Magic, and more than 30 unique landscapes for use in both single-player and online combat. All new and existing players are eligible to receive these updates at no additional cost.

At the start of a new age, you will have access to hundreds of hours worth of gameplay. A universe filled with legendary heroes, towering monsters, flying animals, storms of magical power, and regiments of terrifying warriors comes to life in Total War: WARHAMMER.
