Players have the option of picking many different characters, each with different abilities. Every champion falls into a category: Damage, Support, Flank, and Front Line. Front Line champions have one duty, and that is to protect their teammates from the enemy. Champions from this category are really efficient at stopping enemy fire and using their abilities to disrupt their foes. Champions that belong to the Damage category excel at one thing, dealing damage. They can either do consistent solid damage or they can do a burst of damage that can instantly eliminate your opponent. Support champions are there to keep their team alive with utility and healing abilities, and since they're the ones that keep your health pool above critical levels, they need to be protected. Finally, we have the champions that belong to the Flank category. Their strength lies in their ability to quickly get behind enemy lines and eliminate the most valuable champion. They possess impressive mobility and high amounts of self-sustain which allow them to dive the backline and escape with ease.

Paladins is a team-based shooter, so no player can win the game on his own, everyone needs to work together to formulate a strategy and then stick to it until the very end.
