Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is an action-packed open-world RPG that was developed by Monolith Productions and then published Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. This title was released for Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 in September 2014. It was later released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in November 2014.
Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is a third-person action-adventure in which the player controls a ranger that goes by the name of Talion. Talion wants revenge, as the forces of Sauron killed his wife and son, and now he is on a personal quest to destroy the dark lord and all that follow him. There are many locations in the game that you can travel through various means such as parkour, various monsters that you can ride, or there the Forge Tower that acts as a fast travel system.
Our hero is killed in the starting moments of the game, but the Elven Lord Celebrimbor uses his immense powers to keep him alive and even gives him tremendous wraith-like abilities to aid him in his dangerous mission to kill Sauron.
There are many side missions in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, alongside the main story missions which focus solely on Talion's quest for revenge. The side missions include following Gollum as you try to find certain artifacts that are tied to the past of the Elven Lord that resides within you, freeing the human slaves that were captured by the vile Uruk armies, and so on. By completing quests you can unlock brand new skills for Talion to use.
The most impressive feature of this game is the Nemesis System that lets the AI remember when they have killed the players and allows for impressive interaction between those characters and the player.
