FaceRig is a program that lets anyone that has a webcam of any sorts to embody characters digitally. The final result can be recorded as a movie, or it can be streamed to Twitch, Skype, Hangouts, and other such services that can use a webcam in real time. It was developed and published by Holotech Studios on July 7th, 2015.
FaceRig is an open platform where you can create so many things, from characters, backgrounds, props, and then import it all into the program. Doesn't matter who you are, a YouTuber, a streamer, a gamer, model, animation artists, and so on, this program will be useful to you. The end goal of FaceRig is to be a complex real-time digital actor set that can be used from the house. Users have access to a real-time head and expression tracking in an input video stream that includes audio analysis, virtual puppeteering input can be combined with tracked data, animation re-targeting can be done on-the-fly, voice alteration, and much more.
Thanks to its ability to intercept webcam input and replace the images that your webcam captures with other types of content, you can basically send whatever you've created as output from that same webcam.
