Some regrettable news for those looking forward to the PC release of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, as the developers announced that the release date for the game has been pushed back, due to “continued efforts in improving gameplay quality.”
The team behind the game has sincerely apologized to fans who were eagerly awaiting its release, and assured that they are taking extra care in the PC development side of the game by making enhancements in the overall quality of gameplay.
For those of you who have pre-purchased the game on Steam and would like a refund, then you can do so through the Steam store. If you have purchased or pre-ordered from a retailer outside of Steam then make sure to contact your retailers refund support team.
As for when the game will actually be released, at the moment it is pretty much anyone’s guest. In the announcement on Steam, it stated that a new release date would be revealed as soon as it is available, so it still might be a while off yet. Nevertheless, it’s always better to wait for a finished product than releasing a rushed one, so hopefully the fans will understand and be able to appreciate the game once it finally releases.
