For some inexplicable reason, it seems like we won’t be able to experience Doom Eternal on Stadia in its true 4K glory.
What do people consider to be true 4K? Native 2160p, while fake 4K means mastered in 2K or in 1080p then upscaled. The GDC conference last year came with the announcement that Doom Eternal would run at true 4K resolution with both HDR color and stable 60 frames per second. However, looks like that was false information. You see, the launch details of Doom Eternal were shared recently. The PC system requirements look quite steep. An interesting part also showed how the game will perform graphically on Stadia. It doesn’t look like we’re getting what was promised.
1080p, 60 FPS on HD displays and up-sample that goes from 1800p to 2160p on 4K displays. Not true 4K, as we all know. Yet, I think this is to be expected. I mean, have you seen the minimum requirements for PC? This is obviously an insanely demanding and visually striking game. But on the other hand, why did they decide to say that we would be able to play Doom Eternal on Stadia in true 4K?
Not a fan of Stadia? No problem, then if you have a powerful enough PC, why don’t you pre-order Doom Eternal on HRK Game? If you’re a fan of brutally fast, violent, and satisfying shooters, this is the perfect title for you!
