The Xbox One X is still yet to be released, yet there are still comparisons being made regarding the upcoming console with Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro. In this particular instance, Middle-earth: Shadow of War has been subject to this particular comparison, with the Microsoft entry looking to be far more superior.
Monolith have made it clear that this isn’t by any means the final build as far as the Xbox One X version is concerned, though there is already a rather large gap between the two consoles. If you check out the snapshot below, you can see that there is a pretty signficant difference between each offering.
The two settings which can allegedly be chosen for Xbox One X players are Quality or Resolution, with the latter having slightly lower texture filtering than the former. The setting here runs at 1980p, ahead of the PS4 Pro version running at 1620p.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. So if you are looking for graphical superiority when you pick up this game, then you may want to hold out for the release of the Xbox One X, given just how powerful the conosle looks set to be.
