Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment has announced that the new Xbox One X update for Middle-earth: Shadow of War has been released. This will provide a number of enhancements which will take full advantage of the most powerful console ever made.
This will showcase immersive gameplay in true 4K and HDR, and once the update has been downloaded, players will be able to choose which of the enhanced modes they want to use. The first option gives resolution with increased texture detail, which targets native 4K. As for the second option, this focuses on overall quality complete with improved shadow and lighting conditions, increased draw distances, vegetation and ambient occlusion, plus more polygon counts and filtering improvements.
What’s more, Middle-earth: Shadow of War is an Xbox Play Anywhere title, which allows player to buy the digital version on Xbox One or Windows 10, and play them for free on the other platform. It’s worth keeping in mind that 4K and HDR viewing depends on the screen you are viewing it on, so make sure you have a TV or monitor capable of handling it.
Middle-earth: Shadow of War is now available on PC, Xbox One and PS4, and of course, now updated for Xbox One X.
