Microsoft has confirmed that they will be adding games developed by Microsoft Studios as first day releases on the Xbox Game Pass. This means that future releases such as Sea of Thieves, State of Decay 2 and Crackdown 3 will be available for those who are subscribed to the service on the day that they launch.
This would have come as very good news for Xbox fans, providing them with a subscription service for a low price of £7.99 a month, which now lets them play brand new releases. This also works out extremely well for PC owners, who had been left wondering whether this will expand onto that platform with the Xbox Play Anywhere titles.
This was confirmed by head of marketing Aaron Greenberg, who took to Twitter to confirm that going forward, Xbox Play Anywhere titles will be playable on PC as part of the Game Pass membership.
The tweet read: “Yes if the title is Xbox Play Anywhere you can play the PC version too if you are a Game Pass member.”
The good news is that if you want to trial a game before committing to buy, you can do so by paying a small monthly fee, rather than a a hefty sum for each new release.
