Microsoft has announced that Xbox is the official partner of Real Madrid, the Spanish giants of La Liga. Their popularity and success is recognized worldwide, with many star players in their roster including Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and many others. Real Madrid are set to kick off a tour of the United States, leading Xbox to invite fans to participate in a number of events across the country, with the opportunity to watch the team play live as part of the US Summer Tour.
The Microsoft Century City store will invite local youth groups in Minecraft coding alongside the team’s players. This aims to hopefully empower youths through sport, an important goal for the foundations of the partnership. This combination of gaming, technology and sport hopes to bring about social change for the future.
FIFA 17 tournaments will be hosted in Microsoft Stores across the United States to celebrate Real Madrid’s tour, offering players the chance to win live tickets. The tournaments will take place Friday, July 21st and Saturday, July 22nd. These tournaments will take place at Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara, Westfield Century City in Los Angeles, Dadeland Mall in Miami and Oakbrook Center in Oak Brook.
