WWE 2K20 was a hot mess. A game that aimed to disappoint. At least that’s how it seemed when anyone tried to play it. I don’t remember when I saw that many negative reviews for a game. Maybe when Fallout 76 was released? But that’s beside the point, the subject in this article is WWE 2K21. It’s the end of April, and we heard no news about a new WWE title. Why? Because it’s not coming. At least not in the form that these games come out every year.
According to this Polygon article, the franchise is in murky waters. There’s going to be an exciting announcement this Monday regarding the future of this franchise. Yet, the poor performance of WWE 2K20 made both the critics and fans of the franchise disappointed. Now it’s up to them to bring out something fresh, exciting, and not full of game-breaking bugs. Can they deliver? They better, as if another mess like WWE 2K20 happens it might spell doom for the franchise.
