WWE 2K18 For Switch Will Be Getting Updates To Fix Issues
The WWE is a truly global brand, one that sells out arenas and sells loads of merchandise. They are also one of the few brands who not only embrace the video game industry, they’re constantly growing through it. Early wrestling games were nothing more than button mashers that you hoped would work half the time. In recent years though, the video game branch of WWE has grown more detailed, and matches truly feel like wrestling matches. But, with WWE 2K18, things aren’t as nice as players hoped for.
On one hand, this is the most expansive roster the series has ever had, fully embracing the NXT roster as well as Raw and Smackdown. However, compared to last years installment, the game just doesn’t feel as good, with numerous issues being reported by fans. Then, when the Nintendo Switch version came out recently, fans cried foul, as the game was not only not good, it was basically unplayable.
Graphics issues, frame rate drops and more plagued fans who tried to play it. So, they took to Twitter and asked for fixes to be made. The Switch port developer Blind Squirrel was happy to respond.
Thanks for all the feedback on #WWE2K18 folks! We are continuing to work on updates so stay tuned to the official @WWEgames account as all official updates on patches etc. will come from there.

As you can tell, the exact nature of these patches and updates are unclear, so we’ll have to have a little faith that they fix the issues. This port is a big blow to Switch fans, as they really wanted WWE 2K18 on the system, and WWE even made a special announce video featuring cover wrestler Seth Rollins to promote the port. So to see this have such poor quality is heartbreaking. Hopefully, this will be fixed soon.
