With the release of the Xbox One X, we are seeing a number of previous titles making the pilgrimage to the most powerful console ever made. Wargaming’s free-to-play online tank warfare game World of Tanks will be one of these said titles, which has 4K resolution and HDR support for the newly released Xbox One X.
World of Tanks first released back in 2014 on Xbox 360, and has been continuously updated and enhanced ever since, making its way through the other generations of Microsoft systems. Over time, we have seen a number of graphical improvements, but no more so than today, which sees the sheer power of the Xbox One X bring World of Tanks to life.
Offering up full native 4K resolution and HDR support, this also marks the first title from the list of launch games that can have players teaming up from Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One S or Xbox One X. So you can expect fully implemented cross-platform play regardless of which console from the Xbox family you are playing on.
TJ Wagner, the creative director and executive producer over at the Wargaming studio in Chicago-Baltimore, commented: “We are honored that World of Tanks is one of the launch titles today on the Xbox One X. The capabilities the new platform offers has allowed us to make World of Tanks look and play better than ever before on Xbox. Our team has been hard at work to enhance every aspect of the game, and we are looking forward to how the game will keep evolving on the platform to give the best tank gaming experience out there.”
