World of Warcraft: Classic Demo Starts Today, Has Limitations
The highly anticipated World of Warcraft: Classic demo should be available today, but it’s coming with some limitations.
A lot of people are very eager to try World of Warcraft: Classic, and only Virtual Ticket holders get access to it right now. The demo should be playable sometime today but Blizzard still hasn’t said anything. Well, they did mention certain restrictions for this demo which the players won’t be fond of. You see, Blizzard wants everyone to have fun with this demo but they know that a lot of players are excited to jump right in. As you can imagine, the servers probably won’t like that, so there are time limitations for playing this demo.
You can read the whole post right here for all the details. Basically, you have a certain amount of time to play, after which you can either log out and play again after a short period of time or play a lot and then wait a lot to play again. The playtime limit starts with a cumulative 60 minutes, and there’s a 90-minute cooldown.
It’s clear why Blizzard is doing this. They don’t want their servers to fail right away as an enormous amount of people charges to try out the demo. WoW is doing pretty good, especially with the Battle for Azeroth expansion, but World of Warcraft: Classic was something that everyone wanted, and now it’s finally (almost) here.
