World Of Warcraft: Battle For Azeroth Arrives August 14th
World Of Warcraft may have started out as a title trying to make its place in the MMORPG landscape, but it soon became the torchbearer for all in the genre. It helped prove that MMORPG’s could not only be successful in the modern age of gaming, but that it could thrive and maintain itself through the years. Blizzard did this through numerous expansions and updates. And now, they’ve revealed that the next expansion in their title is coming on August 14. The Battle For Azeroth will soon begin.
The good news is that Battle For Azeroth is available now for pre-order. So you can ensure that you get your copy and be one of the first into the game Blizzard also announced that just before the launch there will be a “Pre-patch” that will a “bridge” of sorts between the last expansion, Legion, and Battler For Azeroth. This patch will have Alliance players retake Undercity while Horde players will go and raze Teldrassil. No doubt kicking off the events of the new expansion.
If you need another reason to consider a pre-order, Blizzard is giving anyone who does the ability to boost one character immediately to Level 110. Which will allow you to go and find the new races that will be in World of Warcraft through the expansion.
There will be two versions of Battle For Azeroth you can pre-order. The standard edition for $40, and the Deluxe Edition that will be $70. Both have their perks and you should definitely consider your options before making a purchase.
As for what Battle For Azeroth is, Blizzard is taking the MMORPG back to its roots in the purest way possible, by focusing the conflict on the Alliance and the Horde. Despite working together in recent expansions, including Legion, things have broken down, and the war for Azeroth has begun once again.
