With San Diego Comic-Con right around the corner, rumors are running wild as to what Telltale Games will be announcing at the event. Many have alluded to the idea that a sequel to the well received The Wolf Among Us could be announced, though it now looks unlikely, according to Telltale’s Job Stauffer.
The communications head wrote: “I worry about people getting their hopes up in the wrong direction,” via Twitter when many jumped to the conclusion that The Wolf Among Us season 2 was being teased. The rumor came about when Adam Harrington, voice of Bigby Wolf in The Wolf Among Us, retweeted an announcement that Telltale would be delivering a Summer 2017 update at Comic-Con.
However, Harrington also voices in other Telltale entries such as Minecraft: Story Mode, Tales of the Borderlands and will also voice Groot in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy adaptation.
The likelihood is that the announcement will involve either Guardians of the Galaxy, or perhaps the teased Telltale Batman DLC that is currently doing the rounds. Either way, it isn’t likely that there will be an announcement regarding a second season for The Wolf Among Us after all, which is a shame given how popular it was at release.
