Wolcen Still Trying To Improve Server Stability
Wolcen, the ARPG that looks eerily similar to Diablo 3 aims to fix the server issues that have been causing a lot of trouble for players.
Do you like it when your characters completely disappear together with any progress you made, experience acquired, and loot that’s been collected? No, of course you don’t. I’m sure that’s a problem that needs to be addressed quickly. Most of the game’s User Reviews on Steam focus on this. Server issues. Other issues exist as well such as buggy content, lack of overall polish, etc. but this is the main issue. Fixing server stability would salve all the problems. For some reason, the devs didn’t expect a large number of players to pick up Wolcen. Since this surge of players obviously messed up the servers and they broke down. A fix is being worked on, but they need to hurry up. Issues like this shouldn’t exist 6 days after a title launches.
This ARPG offers nothing new in terms of game design. But the already established ARPG formula is being presented in a fun and slick way. The incredibly complex and open customization systems add to the enjoyment immensely. However, the servers are still a problem that hasn’t been solved.
Looking for an ARPG but Wolcan doesn’t appeal to you? Give Torchlight 2 a try, it’s available on HRK Game for an outstanding price! It’s much sillier, more colorful, and goofier than a lot of ARPGs today. That alone makes it a breath of fresh air in a stale genre.
