Destiny 2 will be getting a winter makeover according to Bungie, which will see a limited-time event taking place known as The Dawning. This will include a number of interesting new features, including the chance to play ice hockey and chuck snowballs around at your leisure.
The Dawning event made its debut in the first Destiny game back in 2016, which featured the Sparrow Racing League. However, this time around, it seems as though there is more of a winter focus on the competition.
The hockey will allow players to knock a puck around and attempt to put it into the opposition’s goal in a mini-game of sorts. There will also be an assortment of playable areas that will have snowballs for you to throw at enemies, and will even cause damage to them for doing so. You can also expect to see some winter-themed cosmetics and gear, including a full set of Dawning-themed armor for your guardian.
Destiny 2 is now available on PS4 and Xbox One, and will release on PC next week. This will mark the first Destiny game to make its way to the PC platform, which will bring an entire new and vast audience to the popular sci-fi shooter.
