A lot of us expect all sorts of titles to pop up at E3, especially when it has been a long time since we heard anything about them. Just sometimes, we eagerly wait for the game to get shown, and then it never does, which was the case with the Final Fantasy 7 remake that we didn’t get to see. A lot of us were hyped about the remake, and so we all wanted to see it at E3, but it was a no-show, instead, we just got to see a lot of footage for Kingdom Hearts 3, which also looks like a really exciting title.
The director of the game, Tetsuya Nomura, had a talk with The Verge, and he said that they were working equally on both the Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Kingdom Hearts 3, but why didn’t we see the Remake this year at E3 then? Tetsuya said that they were working equally hard on both of these titles, but Kingdom Hearts got all the attention this year at E3, while the Final Fantasy 7 Remake got none, so that is really strange. He said in his interview with The Verge:
“So right now, it’s like I’ve been putting in 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts, 100 percent into Final Fantasy 7, 100 percent into Kingdom Hearts… just going back and forth,”
While it’s nice that they are focusing on Kingdom Hearts 3 that much, but we would still like more details about the Final Fantasy 7 Remake, so let’s hope they tell us more after January 2019.
