Where Are The Performance Changes For PUBG?

You know, one of the biggest problems in PUBG is that it has random performance issues. There can never be a time where you will play a match without some visual problem so to say, like stuttering, FPS drops, and things like that. Now, it’s nice to see that the developers of PUBG were man enough to admit that they are lacking in this field, and that they will work harder in order to bring performance improvements as soon as possible. Other performance changes are coming as well, but they have something to do with servers and the client, but all improvements to the game are very welcome.

Even though the PUBG team has been working on all kinds of awesome things (like the quality of life changes, the new maps, weapon balancing, and other things), optimizing the game should come first. What’s the point of having an amazing game with terrific content if it’s going to have an FPS drop every 5 minutes? At least now they have admitted that they haven’t worked hard enough to fix these issues on their Steam post, but they have identified some problems that are connected to these performance issues:

We’ve discovered that when vehicles move over many different types of ground materials quickly, too many effects are produced, causing players’ GPUS to overload. Another cause of GPU overloading (and FPS drops) has to do with the way lighting effects are processed.

We are just happy to see that a developer admits that they are wrong, and that they will work hard to fix their mistakes. In the end, PUBG may still come back to the battle royal main stage when it gets fixed up a bit.
