So when the Playground mode for Fortnite got announced a month or so ago, we all got excited. The Battle Royal craze is its own thing, but getting our own island where we get to build whatever we want to? That is actually really awesome, and even if you don’t want to build crazy buildings, you can practice building on the fly which is a much-needed skill in the battle royal mode. We will even get to play with our friends, so you can have a competition to see who has the better building skills and a better imagination.
Being excited about this new mode isn’t helping us at all since we still don’t know when it’s coming. It was listed in the new updates message recently, but that still doesn’t tell us much. Will it be available in a few days or in a month? The official description of the Playground mode in Fortnite goes like this:
Battle and build to your heart’s content with an extended period of time to roam around the map as well as increased resource generation. All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin’ in different spots and scope out the loot. Friendly fire is on so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but fear not you’ll respawn immediately.
So, Epic Games, mind telling us when you’re releasing the Playground mode? We are going insane over here, so just release it already so we can go and build a castle with our buddies.
