It’s always good to plan for the future, especially if your newly released game got a ton of sales and was overall well received by a lot of people. Battletech is a game where you get to pilot all kinds of BattleMechs and participate in exciting turn-based combat. There seems to be a trend with mechs and turn-based combat, but we’re not complaining, as it is a rather spectacular combination. The developers of this strategy game shared their plans for the future of the game which includes the addition of various other languages, even more customization options, and they even talked about the possibility of expansions.
But, before you can expand your base, you need to make sure that it’s completely stable. Basically, the developers want to fix their game and eliminate any bugs before they get their hands dirty with customization and expansions. They are also looking at performance issues, and they said in their official post on Steam:
Our launch last week wasn’t perfect. A subset of players are experiencing hardware/system compatibility and performance issues that our team is working hard to investigate. Solutions for critical issues are always our top priority, and will be released as soon as they’re available and tested. Typically, we will release patches to our public_beta branch on Steam for a few days for testing before we push them to the default branch.
Accelerated combat options, MechWarrior customization, the option to skip the tutorial, and various other things should be coming soon to the game as free updates. Battletech is the perfect title for you if you’re into turn-based combat and big robots.
