We are less than six weeks away from the release of Super Smash Bros Ultimate on the Nintendo Switch. And with every day that passes, new thrills and hype is being built up for the game, especially when it comes to the titles roster. For everyone wants to know who is in, and who didn’t make the cut. Yesterday, a leak emerged, and it revealed several new potential characters that MIGHT be in the game. It’s been consuming the internet as to whether it’s real or not. But not long after, someone else decided to “consume” the internet.
For not far after the leak was revealed, Wendy’s decided to “reveal” itself to the world as another leaked character for Super Smash Bros Ultimate. It burst onto Twitter and revealed “Wendy’s Roasts The Competition!”
Now, granted, they aren’t ACTUALLY in Smash Ultimate, but the fact that Wendy’s (or at the very least their social media guy) had the wherewithal to see the opportunity and make some buzz is priceless.
I mean, look at it! They even made the image that goes along with a new reveal, it’s perfect! And the internet happily agrees, for they spread this around. The tweet itself got 16K in retweets and almost 65K likes. For a fast food post? That’s not bad.
You almost want them to be in the game because they seem to care about it in at least a little way. lol.
Moving back to Smash Bros Ultimate, the leak itself is honestly tearing up the internet. Because it’s been over a month since Nintendo revealed the last character (Isabelle from Animal Crossing), and with six weeks left, gamers want to know the full roster. Or at the very least, 95% of it. Since we don’t know how many characters are left to be revealed, that wait is getting unbearable.
The title will release on Nintendo Switch on December 7th.
