Week 2 Of Chinese LoL LPL Postponed Due To Coronavirus Outbreak
Because of the coronavirus outbreak in China it seems that the week 2 of the Chinese LoL LPL is going to be delayed.
The coronavirus appeared in China. It originated from Wuhan and has spread further. Due to the outbreak, the Chinese League of Legends Pro League decided to delay the competition. It’s only logical. When you have a virus that’s wreaking havoc across your country you want to minimize chances of it spreading further. For this reason, the official LPL Twitter account issued a statement that says:
We have decided to postpone week 2 of the LPL until we can ensure the safety and health of our players and fans.
To our fans, we sincerely apologize that it has come to this and we will share any and all info as soon as we can.
Stay Safe and thank you all for your support!
This is a highly contagious virus. In order to prevent its spreading China put great restrictions on traveling and large gatherings. Of course the appearance of the coronavirus put week 2 of the LPL series on hold. You don’t want your players and eSports fans to contract the virus. Even though the coronavirus isn’t yet considered a global health threat, it shouldn’t be underestimated.
What are your thoughts on this delay and the coronavirus in general? Do you think it will be contained within China or will it become a threat to the entire globe? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section down below!
