Warframe console players are eagerly awaiting news from developer Digital Extremes on when the Plains of Eidolon expansion will be arriving in the third-person action game.
We are still in the dark as to when it will be released on consoles, though we have heard a few more details on what exactly we can expect when it does land. In a recent interview with Sheldon Carter, the general manager of Digital Extremes, he stated that PoE is the “biggest, most ambitious, and successful Warframe update” and presents the largest environments that has ever been released in the game.
The level design has now been shifted to an extent, moving from the more common indoor areas to “a massive open-space geography.”
Carter continued: “The landscape is now nearly 3X3 square kilometers in size. And we created a monstrous 10-story tall behemoth boss that’s one of the most difficult bosses to beat in the game.”
Also, Plains of Eidolon lets players take on objectives in whichever way they choose, whether it’s a stealth approach or going gung-ho. Plus, the new day-night cycle brings a whole new feel to Warframe, from watching the sunset to traversing the game in the dark of night, with the looming sense of danger as the veil of night falls.
For now, fans will need to hold on a little while longer to hear when we see the large update hit consoles.
