Vegeta Voice Actor Wants Mr. Popo In Dragon Ball FighterZ
Without a doubt, Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of the best fighting games that’s come out in the last few years. The game was hyped from the moment it arrived at E3 2017, and throughout the months that followed we got to see a gorgeous game detailed before our eyes. Once it arrived, we found a simple yet deep fighting system that anyone could pick up and play, as well as learn easily enough to become better and better at it. What’s more, it respected the beloved anime via its fighter roster.
The roster is jam-packed with characters from Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super, including several different versions of key characters like Buu, Gohan, and Goku. But even more surprising were the arrivals of “lesser” characters, like Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, Nappa, Captain Ginyu and more. This left things open for other characters to arrive via DLC. Well, the voice actor for Vegeta, Christopher Sabat, has a particular character in mind for DLC.
For in a conversation with Arc Systems (the developer of Dragon Ball FighterZ) on Twitter, he noted that he wanted another character he voiced to be in the game.
“Well Mr (or Ms) System Works, I’ll have you know that DID use Yamcha in my battle and he’s in INFINITELY better character than Piccolo to play. Now if you’d make MR POPO a playable character, I’d be the happiest man alive. I’ve been begging for this since 2002.”
For those who don’t know, Mr. Popo is the assistant to Kamei and Dendei, the guardians of Earth. What’s more, Mr. Popo has helped train Goku, as well as other Dragon Ball characters, so his inclusion may not be as random as you might think.
Anything is possible via DLC, and as we noted, the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster is incredibly diverse, so why not add him?
