Anthem is looking like an interesting title. You get to fly around in a mech suit of some sorts and that’s all we need to have fun. There is also shooting and looting, which are a nice addition. Ok, now with all the sarcasm out of the way, we are going to take a look at Mark Darrah’s Twitter account. Does he have funny tweets or something? Unfortunately, no, but he did answer a lot of questions about Anthem, some of which were known from the E3 presentation, and some that are new to us. There are definitely some interesting things which were revealed to us, but we still don’t know the system requirements for the game, which will without a doubt be high considering how pretty the game looked.
Let’s talk about what we know now from Mark Darrah’s Twitter. Javelins, the suits that we get to wear, won’t have gender variations. The items that you get from pre-ordering Anthem will be given to you right after the tutorial, but you can find items of equal powers at that stage of the game in the world. When you get downed, anyone can revive you, doesn’t matter if they are in your party or not. It seems like the game will even have a weather system, but not much info was given about it. Players that like exploration will be rewarded for it in some way. The game will have controller, mouse and keyboard support on the PC, and there is even a colorblind mode.
Strangely enough, there will be fall damage, so if you’re in the air, try not to suddenly drop to the ground, as you probably won’t survive.
