Rainbow Six Siege may well be a title that has gone from strength to strength since it initially launched, but it still has encountered its fair share of problems along the way. The latest one to affect the game is a pretty bad one too, in which players have discovered a bug with one of the game’s operators which allows them to cover their head using a shield, thereby making them pretty much invincible from attack in that direction.
In order to pull this off, it involves a number of key button presses in which players must assume the role of Jager, and by equipping his deployable shield. This is then placed on top of the operator’s gun, making it into a giant shield which players cannot penetrate. However, the player controlling Jager is able to both see and shoot through the shield, making it a clear unfair advantage. If you can’t shoot at Jager from waist-high cover to hit his body, then you’re pretty much screwed.
This has naturally led to an outcry from fans of Siege, who have called upon Ubisoft to fix the issue. Unfortunately, the game’s developers have been visiting family over the holiday period, and whilst many have been absent for this reason, it appears that they have now returned and are working on a fix as we speak.
Rainbow Six Siege is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
