Twitch will start streaming NBA 2K League matches in May
Esports has been around for a while now and it seems that it’s becoming even more popular. NBA 2K League is the first official eSports league operated by a professional sports league in the US. In order to make eSports and NBA 2K even more popular, NBA 2K League just announced that thanks to its new partnership with Twitch, the video service will start live streaming NBA 2K league matches in May. While May 1st is the date when the video service will start to live stream these matches, the actual premiere was almost a month ago, on April 4.
Throughout the season, Twitch will live stream 199 NBA 2K league matches. These will include not only weekly matchups, but also three in-season tournaments, playoffs, and the NBA 2K League Finals. Those who would like to watch these games can do it on the Twitch
live streaming channel starting May 1. According to NBA 2K League Managing Director Brendan Donohue, both the League and Twitch put gamers first, so the partnership should normally be a fruitful one. Twitch is an innovative video service and NBA 2K League is definitely an innovative sports league as well, so gamers and those who only like to watch eSports will definitely get a great experience thanks to this new partnership.
The partnership between Twitch and the eSports league won’t only stop at live streaming matches.
