Twitch and Bandai Namco Announce Tekken 7 World Tour 2018

Bandai Namco Entertainment is teaming up with social streaming service Twitch to bring back the Tekken World Tour for 2018. Twitch will be the exclusive place to check out these streams if you’re looking to wiatch the competitive gaming league, and will also serve as the partner for Tekken 7 league operations, cicuit events and other content.

Ultimately, the goal of this partnership is to build up the Tekken 7 fight community, therefore increasing the reach and longevity of the popular fighting franchise. Starting off on March 16th at Final Round in Atlanta, GA, the tour will be making stops in California, Texas, Illinois, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Toronto, Canada. There will also be international stops in include Thailand, Hong Kong, Kuwait, Korea, Italy, Australia, Peru, United Kingdom, and more.

What’s more, this year’s world tour also awards Ranking Points to participants in one global pool, which are based on their local performance results. The season will run for eight months, from March to November before climaxing in Amsterdam, in an event that will offer cash prizes, national pride and perhaps most importantly, bragging rights.
