Receiving PEGI ratings for games that are yet to have such confirmations seems to be quite a growing trend at the moment. This new surge of momentum doesn’t seem to be slowing down, as the widely celebrated Turok seems to have been the next title to get such treatment.
The upcoming release of Turok Remastered on Xbox One has been rated PEGI 16, according to the image below:
Developers Night Dive Studios have already revealed that they plan to release both Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil on Xbox One, though the sequel has yet to be subjected to a PEGI rating at this current time.
It’s worth keeping in mind, as obvious as it may sound, that these games are remasters, and will not be new releases in the Turok franchise. Disney are in charge of the renowned franchise’s IP, so it will ultimately be up to them as to when a new mainline entry makes its way to our screens.
In the meantime, here is the official description of the game over on Steam, from when it released back in 2015: “Turok is back and no dinosaur is safe! When it was first released in 1997, Turok introduced gamers to a world teeming with cunning enemies, traps, puzzles and deadly weapons all within a vast 3D environment ready to explore. Now the classic game has been restored and enhanced with a new visual engine and exciting new features to sink your teeth into!”
