Two years after the game’s initial release, Tree of Life has finally left Early Access. Naturally, the game is a much different one now compared to how it was back then, and the developers have detailed what changes they have made.
As before, players can still build structures wherever they like in the world, on top of which a Warden Tree will protect their buildings. Territories will increase in size as the tree evolves, and are repairable even if they get dismantled, whilst buildings will remain safe. There’s the ability to use Repair All, which will restore damaged and destroyed buildings to full for a price. If you want to move your base, you’ll have to remove and re-plant the Warden Tree. In order to maintain the tree, you’ll have to pay tax to keep protection up. Buildings will disappear if you fail to do so, though they will reappear once trees are replanted. Buildings out of the area of protection will be destroyed.
There’s also a new Faction chat, which will allow players to communicate with friends, to offer support and information that could help your team mates.
