The autumn update for Rocket League will be bringing one of the most requested changes to the game. It may seem strange to some, but many fans have been crying out for transparent goalposts for the soccer-car hybrid, which will allow players to be able to see through the sides of the goal in order to give them more of an advantage whilst defending.
Psyonix detailed the new feature in a recent announcement post: “When defending in-goal, for example, the posts and walls around you will become transparent for better vision. The same goes for players who hug Arena walls on offense or defense, because the quarterpipe will be see-through as well!”
Constant vision all around the game’s arenas will be on the agenda for Psyonix, with these alterations aiming to “narrow the visual space needed between the pitch and content outside the walls.” The team also hope that this will prove to be a popular update, and given the amount of players that have requested to have a better view whilst defending, it surely will be welcomed with open arms by the Rocket League community.
Rocket League is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One. A Nintendo Switch is planned for release later this year.
