Resident Evil 7 was a surprise that not a lot of people expected when they heard that a new Resident Evil game was on the way. But, it brought back the atmosphere, the tension, and the horror that we were all missing from the franchise, and the fans loved it. Now, for Xbox One X players, the game’s graphics are getting an upgrade with the latest update that’s bringing 4K output, HDR support, and improved skin tone display through Screen-Space Subsurface Scattering.
As we can all see from the XBox One X Enhancement Showcase video, the graphics look absolutely stunning, as everything from the texture of the items that you find in the game, to the environment, and of course, the terrifying Baker family members, has been improved immensely, which really adds to the atmosphere. Xbox One X players have been patiently waiting for this update, and now that it’s finally here, what do you think, is it everything you expected it to be?
Of course, Resident Evil 7 is a horror shooter, so you might not notice all the graphical enchantments while you’re running for your life while a cannibalistic mutant monster is chasing after you, but in the brief moments in the game where you get a slight break, while you’re solving puzzles, for example, you’ll notice just how much crisper and clearer everything looks.
Resident Evil 7 is also available for the PC, so if you hadn’t, make sure to check the game out, especially if you’re a fan of horror and survival games!
