The Walking Dead – The Final Season On Switch To Launch Same Day As Other Systems
When it comes to the Nintendo Switch, there have been some multiplatform titles that have been pushed back past their original release dates to ensure that the game looks good on the platform. For example, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus was released on Switch seven months after it came out on other systems, Dark Souls was delayed and hasn’t been given a release date yet, and so on and so forth. But, when it comes to the upcoming final season of Telltale’s The Walking Dead, that won’t happen.
The game had been announced for Nintendo Switch but no release date had been given as of yet. But yesterday, Telltale Games went to Twitter to officially announce that it would release in America on August 14th just like the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
“We’re happy to announce that The Walking Dead: The Final Season will be launching digitally on Nintendo Switch this Tuesday, August 14 in North America (later this month in Europe).”
So while it’s true that the Europe crowd will have to wait a bit, the US crowd won’t have to wait at all, which is something I’m sure a lot of gamers will appreciate. Especially given the gravity of the final season.
The Walking Dead by Telltale has mostly focused on a young girl named Clementine, and how she had to survive in a world filled with zombie terrors, as well as people who weren’t exactly what they seemed to be. The Final Season will have her reunite AJ, a boy she’s sworn to protect, and have them deal with more issues as they try and survive.
Like with all Telltale Games, The Walking Dead will be influenced by the choices of the player, and with this being the final season, it’s very likely that these choices will matter more than ever.
