The Playground Mode Is Coming To Fortnite
The developers of Fortnite know that their game is one of the hottest in the industry right now, and so they are doing everything they can to keep it that way. As you know, Fortnite now is probably the king of battle royal shooters, and with more and more content coming our way, it seems like it’s going to stay that way. We are getting a mode called Playground, which will be vastly different from the ones we’ve been getting so far, and it will have lots of lamas. We don’t think anyone really expected lamas, but why not, let’s have fun with them.
They have also been considering a 50v50, but one that will be permanent. Fortnite is hectic as it is, but it would be a real battle royal if 50 people tried to kill another 50 people, so you can only imagine the chaos that would come from that. In their official post they said described the new mode like this:
Battle and build to your heart’s content with an extended period of time to roam around the map as well as increased resource generation. All treasure chests and ammo crates will be spawned, try droppin’ in different spots and scope out the loot. Friendly fire is on so you can scrimmage with your squad (up to 4 friends per match), but fear not you’ll respawn immediately.
Obviously, this won’t be anything that we’ve seen before, but diversity is always welcome, and this mode seems like a breath of fresh air that will greatly benefit this multiplayer shooter.
