The Official Live Action Trailer For Fallout 76 Looks Jolly
The live action trailer for Fallout 76 is much more jolly and cheerful than we expected it to be.
We covered Fallout 76 on many occasions before, the most recent one being on the subject of the dev team talking about what it’s like to play the game. For the most part, this still isn’t the Fallout title we expected to get after Fallout 4, but it is what it is. Now that the game’s release date draws near, it’s time for an action-packed live action trailer. Was it as dark and brutal as we expected it to be? Absolutely not. In fact, the trailer went in a completely other direction with really happy characters. Well, happy to be shooting things, but happy nonetheless.
There’s a girl in some sort of field shooting at many different enemies. We also get a look at a duo in Power Armor that is unloading a large amount of lead into some kind of drones that are attacking them. There’s even a scene with a Deathclaw later in the trailer which is both comical and sad at the same time. Deathclaws aren’t the alpha predators that they once were. The thing that connects all these different scenes is how the characters look happy while they are killing their enemies. It seems like some dark twist on humor that the Fallout franchise is known for, yet it feels so strange.
While it’s nice to see that Bethesda is experimenting with new things, we’re just going to wait until we get a proper singleplayer Fallout game. Multiple Fallout games just aren’t our cup of tea.
