The Meditations launcher gives you one short, simple and minimalistic indie game to play each day, free of charge!
This is definitely a strange project. A launcher that gives you minimalistic games each day, for free? Well, getting anything for free is great, so this seems like a superb thing. Granted, this does mean that you have another launcher to download, and your average gamer already has like 5 different launchers installed. But, this one isn’t all that bad, considering it gives you a short but enjoyable game every day. The guy behind this project, Rami Ismail, came up with the idea of the Meditations launcher by playing a small game one early morning called TEMPRES.
Ever since then, he has been collecting all kinds of games from many developers and tied them down to a day in the year. That’s right, the Meditations launcher will keep you occupied for 365 days straight. The slightly questionable part is how they made each of these games available for 24 hours, meaning if you miss one day you also miss the game from that day. That isn’t the best way to do things, but what can you do. It can’t all be perfect.
This is a brilliant and very creative idea. Big props to everyone that banded together and managed to complete such a massive undertaking, and provide us with a launcher that gives us free games each day!
