The Hot Air Balloon Update For Rust Revived The Playerbase

Who knew that you just needed to bring hot air balloons to your survival game, which is Rust in this example, in order to revitalize the playerbase?

Rust

Isn’t it strange how Rust went from being a buggy DayZ knockoff to becoming one of the best PvP-oriented survival games on Steam? The journey was quite fun, and the developers stuck to their vision over time and managed to create one hell of a game. Those of you that are looking for hardcore survival and brutal PvP, Rust is the perfect title for you. Now it even has hot air balloons which have revigorated the playerbase as we found out in this PC Gamer article.

The graphics of this game got really pretty over time. The clan-based warfare also got exceedingly more exciting and bloody. Raiding another base that is well-equipped for attacks is quite hard. But, will they expect a hot air balloon raid? Well, most likely, since this particular update came out on November 1st and ever since then everyone has been using them. Thanks to Steam & Game Stats we found out that there are 10,436,441 players in-game right now. Such a simple addition yet it brought back so many players to the game.

Don’t worry, the Hot Air Balloon can outmaneuver all of your current defenses, but that’s why we have the new SAM Site. It’s basically an automatic anti-air defense system that will shoot down anything that hovers in the sky. This means that you should remove all SAM Site Ammunition from it if you plan on using a Hot Air Balloon yourself.
