The GTA V Giveaway Crashed The Epic Games Store
GTA V is currently free on the Epic Games Store and naturally that attracted a lot of people that ultimately crashed the site.
GTA V is a game that sold over 115 million freaking units. It’s quite a popular and exceptionally well-crafted video game. But I’m guessing that everyone that bought it recently is going to be really mad. It’s a triple-A title, a 7-year old one but a triple-A title nonetheless. And I would also be quite pissed off if I bought the game in the last month or so only to find out that it’s free on the Epic Games Store right now. As expected, an insane amount of people went over there to grab this game for free. This absolutely crushed Epic Games Store’s servers. As you can tell from their official Twitter account, all kinds of errors started popping out everywhere.
I mean is anyone surprised at all by this? We can all agree that GTA V has one of the most engaging single-player campaigns in recent times. You’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t experience it. GTA Online is still averaging 119,131 players each month. That’s not a small number for a game that has been out for quite a while now. So, if by some chance you didn’t pick up GTA V on the Epic Games Store, you should. This offer lasts until May 21, so get it while it’s still here!
In the case that you’ve played GTA V, why not revisit an old classic? You can pick up Grand Theft Auto: Vice City on HRK Game for an amazing price! It’s old, but still a lot of fun, and it’s an iconic GTA title that everyone should play at least once in their life.
