The Division 2 Will Be Out Within The Next Fiscal Year
The Division by Ubisoft was one of their most ambitious titles of recent memory. Focusing on an isolated version of Manhattan that was filled with gamers as they tried to both survive and save the city. Admittedly, the game had a rocky start, as numerous bugs and glitches held the game back. But, that eventually got mostly fixed, and new gameplay addition led to the game becoming very popular. So it’s no surprise that The Division 2 is coming, and according to Ubisoft, it’ll be out within the next year.
To be clear, when we say “The Next Year”, we mean from right now and add 12 months. During a financial meeting, Ubisoft said that the game would be out no later than April 2019. That being said, there’s always a chance for delays, but it’s good that they’re hopeful it’ll release sooner.
They also noted that The Division 2 will have much more content than the original, and promise “a lot of content at launch and to be ready to continue to supply a lot of content during the years that will follow the launch.”
Furthermore, the Ubisoft team admitted a lot of their mistakes with The Division, including wasted potential and an ending that was very underwhelming in their eyes. It’s because of those mistakes that they went along with the sequel idea:
“It wasn’t an easy decision, but there are so many stories and so many experiences that we want to explore within the world of The Division that we really felt a sequel was the best way to investigate these things. Also, I mean, the process of making something is such an important part of learning and improving what to do next, what to do in the future.
With it coming out early next year, we don’t expect to see a trailer for it at E3 2018.
