The Curse of Tristram Opening Its Public Test Realm Tomorrow
If you’re a fan of Diablo games, then you already know that the second installment in this gritty action-packed franchise took the crown as the best one. Diablo II and its Lord of Destruction expansion turned this game into one of the best action-RPGs that the world has seen. Naturally, we all have very fond memories of that title, and considering how Diablo III didn’t exactly meet the expectations that the second game set, we have always longed for more. Well, a project called The Curse of Tristram is here to scratch your Diablo II itch. and it is entering its public test realm tomorrow.
The game is being remade in the Starcraft 2 engine. Judging from the pics above, the reworked game doesn’t look too stellar, but it doesn’t look too shabby either, but most importantly, we just want to play the game on modern systems without it going haywire. Any graphical improvements are always welcome, but it would be cool just to see the game fully functional and playable. On that note, the developer said on their Facebook post:
The Public Test Realm will open this Friday, 11 may 2018, playable on Battle.net Arcade Starcraft2. Europe-America-Asia servers. It starts with 6xZone available with also 3xDifficulty modes, Normal, Heroic and Mythic (need to be unlocked).
What do you think, will this be something that a diehard Diablo II player is going to enjoy? The Curse of Tristram is a love project, and whoever is making it put their whole heart and soul into it, so we have faith that it will turn out okay.
