What is going on? The amount of battle royal games that are coming was supposed to slow down, not speed up. But, that doesn’t seem to be the case here, as The Culling battle royal game got its sequel rather fast, which no one expected to happen. The development team behind the first game acted rather quickly, as they announced The Culling 2 sometime last month, and we knew that the game was coming soon. It seems like soon is really soon, and that means that the sequel is launching tomorrow. Didn’t expect that, did you? But, a game that was developed so fast, it can’t be good, can it? If we were to judge from the announcement trailer of the sequel, people aren’t really excited about this title as the dislikes on the video greatly outweigh the likes greatly.
People obviously didn’t like the announcement trailer for The Culling 2, and it makes sense, as the game doesn’t show anything that we don’t see in most games today. What makes this game any different or better than PUBG or The Culling? Nothing much, and the official game description of the game goes like this:
The Culling returns to take Battle Royale to the next level. Real-world weapon ballistics. A strategically brutal melee combat system. Perks to customize your play style. Fifty contestants will drop in and compete for glory, but only one will be crowned the winner.
Will the game be any good? We don’t know, but it doesn’t seem like its bringing anything that we haven’t already seen in battle royal games.
