The Banner Saga Is Coming To Nintendo Switch
When it comes to video games, the more systems the games are on, the more likely that people will come in greater numbers to buy it. Yes, exclusivity is nice, but you can’t knock the power of getting a new fanbase behind your title. The Banner Saga is set to end its story this summer with the third title. But now, if you’re a Nintendo gamer, and haven’t gotten to play the series yet, your time is coming. For the whole trilogy is coming to the Nintendo Switch.
This reveal came during the Nindies Showcase, where Nintendo shows off the big indie games coming to their systems, and it appropriately was the last game shown. All three title will be arriving on Switch, and apparently, The Banner Saga 3 will arrive first on Nintendo Switch, though this may change. As for the other two games, they’ll be coming in the next few months. No exact release date was given at the Nindies Showcase.
The fact that the games are coming to the system is huge. As we noted, Banner Saga is a well-respected and very beloved RPG franchise. The series was born on Kickstarter, where it took off like a rocket due to its impressive visuals, deep story, and detailed gameplay. The second game didn’t do as well because Stoic Studios tried to make it on their own, and it was a partial failure because of it.
But, with Banner Saga 3, they returned to Kickstarter, and are now in the final stages of getting the game made for many system, which now includes the Nintendo Switch.
If you haven’t played this series, we highly recommend it, as the games truly are special, and who knows what awaits in the third title. If you don’t have a Switch, that’s fine, it’s on Xbox, PS4, and PC as well as mobile.
