Tekken 7 Getting Noctis DLC Next Week
The Tekken franchise has prided itself over the years with its basic yet brutal style of fighting. Unlike other fighting games in the genre, very few have energy attacks. The intent in this series is to be up close and personal in order to truly strike down your foes. That said, Tekken 7 has done something a bit different, having two DLC characters that sort of break the mold. The first was Geese Howard from King of Fighters. And next week, Final Fantasy XV will be represented via its main character Noctis.
Today, we got the official word that the Noctis DLC will arrive on March 20th, so basically a week away. The announcement came via a trailer that shows off Noctis and some other cool aspects that’ll come with his DLC. For example, there’s going to be a new stage via Hammerhead, the garage from Final Fantasy XV that Noctis and his friends frequent.
Second, Noctis will have a wide array of outfits that he can wear. Including his classic outfit, a casual outfit, a business outfit, several royal outfits, and more. So no matter which style you like to have Noctis in, Tekken 7 has you covered.
They’ve even explained how Noctis “arrives” in the game, he’s called in by Lars, who he apparently owes a favor to. We’ll have to see how that plays out.
As for his moves, Tekken 7 remains pure to who Noctis is. He has his two swords (and certain other weapons) that he uses in his main strikes. But, he also uses fire, lightning, teleportation, and certain impact attacks to try shake up his foes. He’ll easily be one of the more unique characters to grace the game.
The question now is, will there be another guest character? It’s certainly possible, and with Noctis coming out soon, we could find out who that other character is soon after.
