When Street Fighter V came out to PS4 and PC in 2016, it had a very small roster. Sixteen fighters in fact. But, the promise from Capcom was that through the Season Pass it would grow much larger, and to that end they’ve kept that promise. Now into Season 03, and with the Arcade Edition of the game now out, the characters continue to arrive. Next week, a brand new character to the franchise will arrive in the form of Falke.
Falke may be new, but she has serious ties to certain other characters within the series. Here’s the official breakdown of the new character:
Falke was built to be an alternative clone for M. Bison. She was heavily experimented on by Shadaloo and was forced to train day in, day out to achieve perfection. Falke has the unique ability to infuse Psycho Power into objects and release it through them, mainly through her staff, which she named Harmony. Years of harsh training went by, causing Falke to spiral deep into despair, wishing for it all to end. Finally, Ed came to her rescue and they both were able to escape Shadaloo. Now, the two have a sibling-like bond and are searching for others like them in need of help.
So, Falke has similarities to Cammie White and other clones of M. Bison, which could lead to some very interesting interactions and story events. Gameplay wise though, Falke is rather unique, she uses her staff to channel her Psycho Power, which is very different from other clones of Bison. So it’ll be a true test to see how well she functions in the field of battle.
