There’s a couple of exciting announcements for fans of the card game from The Witcher series, as CD PROJEKT RED reveals a single player campaign and an esports series for the game.
The single player campaign, entitled Thronebreaker, tells the tale of Meve, a war-veteran queen of two Northern Realms facing a foreign invasion, forcing her to set out on a journey of revenge and destruction. In this campaign, players will have the opportunity to discover parts of The Witcher world that have never been seen before, with testing quests, resource gathering and custom story battles that will mix up the way you approach the game. Gwent: Thronebreaker will be available on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
CD PROJEKT RED has also announced Gwent Masters, which will invite players to participate in a brand new season-based mode, as well as a variety of both official and licensed tournaments to place in the grand finale of the series, and ultimately be crowned the first ever Gwent champion of the world.
