Steam-powered robots, cards, RPG mechanics, medieval fantasy, all of this awaits us in SteamWorld Quest, which is now out.
Will we ever see a bad SteamWorld game? Guess not, as SteamWorld Dig 2 and SteamWorld Heist were both excellent games, and now we have a new entry. SteamWorld Quest. It’s a card game with light RPG mechanics. It came out a couple of days ago, and it is already receiving tons of praise from players that are saying its a splendid blend of Slay the Spire and Darkest Dungeon, but it isn’t nearly as difficult as those titles.
From the looks of it, SteamWorld Quest is an instant hit. The people behind these SteamWorld games manage to land each title, no matter what genres it combines into one spectacular experience.
You have a charming medieval setting, gorgeous steam robots, absolutely exceptional hand-drawn environments, and a mesmerizing art style. Quite a lot of things to love about this game without almost any downsides. This title isn’t as challenging as one might want it to be, and the pace can be slow sometimes. But, these are really minor issues that won’t even bother most players. Everything else is topnotch.
Anyone that is a fan of turn-based card games is going to have a lot of fun with SteamWorld Quest, so if you like titles like this, give this one a shot. You won’t regret it!
