Well, it looks like Valve isn’t working on the third part of any of their cult games, but they are releasing some new apps for us. These apps are called Steam Link and Steam Video, and they are supposed to further extend the services of their Steam platform. When you need more money, you branch out into other types of entertainment, and of course, you use apps, because everyone loves apps. Sarcasm aside, the Steam Link and Steam Video apps will help their users enjoy their games on TVs and tablets, and enjoy their movies on their Android and iOS devices.
The first one of these apps that are coming is the Steam Link app, which is arriving on May 21st. It gives gamers the ability to play their games on all sorts of Android devices, like TVs, tablets, and phones, and also iOS-based devices like the iPad, iPhone, Apple TV, and so on. But, you will need to be connected to a 5Ghz network or a wired Ethernet that’s connected to a host system. The Steam Video app has another purpose, as it lets Steam users watch movies and shows on their iOS and Android devices over LTE or Wi-Fi networks.
Steam is a giant when it comes to digital entertainment, especially when it comes to video games, and now the platform is expanding even more.
